Solana Ranch is a private home — offered exclusively for the summer of 2026. This is not a listing on a booking platform. And it is not a conventional rental stocked with generic household items. It is a personal invitation to live in one of Solana Beach's most distinctive properties, on a meticulously manicured corner lot just seven blocks from the beach — a short walk through the neighborhood to Fletcher Cove.
This classic California ranch house has been mid-century modernized throughout. Inside, vaulted white-beam ceilings, terrazzo tile, custom designer interiors, and hardwood floors layered with Persian rugs define the interiors. A curated gallery wall, collected over years of travel, lines the great room. Every space is designed to create a sense of comfort and escape. Outside, a lap pool, in-ground hot tub, fireplace, vegetable garden, and the iconic 20' rope swing are framed by mature landscaping. A gas firepit anchors the evening gathering space, and the numerous fruit trees bear oranges, peaches, lemons, and pomegranates throughout the year.
Weekly professional housekeeping and gardening are included throughout your stay. From June 15 through August 15, this beautifully appointed home is yours — curated, cared for, and ready for the summer of a lifetime.

The Spaces
Three bedrooms, a multi-use casita, a 40’ lap pool, and 2,600 sq ft of living space on a full acre — all yours for the summer.
The Great Room
Vaulted white-beam ceilings, original art, custom furnishings, and a corner fireplace create a space that feels both grand and intimate — the heart of the home, where summer evenings begin.
The Kitchen
Custom wood cabinetry beneath skylights that flood the space with California light. A generous peninsula for gathering separates the cooking and baking areas. Features include a second prep/bar sink and service windows to the outside — fully equipped for everything from morning smoothies to a private chef dinner party. Heath ceramic dinnerware, Turkish tea glasses, and All-Clad cookware ensure this is no cookie-cutter rental. This is a kitchen designed for gathering, not just preparing meals.
The Outdoor Spaces
This nearly one-acre property is divided into 4 distinct outdoor spaces: a large backyard, a more intimate sideyard patio, a gated vegetable garden, and a large front yard with an iconic 20-foot rope swing with ocean views. The lap pool encourages morning swims followed by a TRX workout on the built-in pull-up bar. Outdoor amenities also include a ping pong table for lazy afternoons, a gas firepit on the “Pinot Porch” for sunset drinks, and a private hot tub for starlit evenings. Bougainvillea, mature Italian cypress and cork oaks, and over a dozen fruit trees give the outdoor spaces a private, park-like feeling.
The Primary Suite
A serene retreat with luxury treehouse vibes on the upper level — a king bed with premium Saatva bedding, fold-back ocean view windows, tons of custom closet and dresser space, and a dedicated A/C and heat unit. The en-suite bathroom features natural stone, in-floor heating, a Toto bidet, and a towel warmer.
The Casita
A private cottage tucked into the backyard garden — it feels separate from everything yet is steps from the main home. A vaulted beadboard ceiling, globe pendant lights, a desk and whiteboard, and built-in daybed make this ideal for a home office, a napping spot, or a creative studio. Whether you use it for a morning writing retreat, a painting studio with a view, or a private space for an overnight guest, it adds a layer of independence and charm that sets Solana Ranch apart.

We're Rob and Forrest — and this is our home. We've spent years curating every corner of this property: the art on the walls, the garden that bears fruit all summer, the outdoor spaces designed for long evenings with people you love.
We live here because Solana Beach is genuinely one of the most special places in California — walkable, warm, and unhurried. It's vintage SoCal charm with all the modern amenities. The Cedros Design District is three blocks down the hill. The beach is seven.
When we offer this home for the summer, we're not running a rental business — we're inviting someone into a place we love. We don't swap out the home's accessories with cheap, disposable substitutes. What you see is what you get when you're here, down to the ceramics and glassware, sheets and pillows. We're selective about who stays here, and our guests are cared for personally throughout their stay.

The summer residency runs June 15 through August 15 — 61 days of exclusive use of the main residence (3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, 2,600 sq ft), the private casita, and all outdoor spaces including the 40' lap pool, hot tub, firepit, and gardens on a full acre. Weekly professional housekeeping and landscaping are included for the full duration. The home is professionally prepared before your arrival. Pool heating is available for an additional charge.
$60,000 for the full summer residency. Payment structure and lease terms are provided upon inquiry and are handled directly between the owners and the tenant. All inquiries are reviewed personally.
The home is thoughtfully prepared for your exclusive use. Certain storage areas are reserved for the owners' personal belongings, including the smaller of two parking spaces in the garage. All living spaces — including the main house, casita, pool, and outdoor areas — are exclusively available to you throughout your stay.
